You can rent the new lower level private dining space at JOEY Eaton Centre for your holiday party. The modern room features warm wood accents, raw black brick and a private bar and can accommodate 10 to 125 guests. Enjoy handcrafted cocktails, globally inspired dishes and award-winning wines. The private kitchen alows you to set a menu tailored to your event.
The Storys Building
Owned by ICON Legacy Hospitality, The Storys Building at 11 Duncan Street, which opened in early 2014, features Eastern Mediterranean restaurant, Byblos, on the main and second floors and event space on the third and fourth floors. The third and fourth floors can accommodate 225 in a reception style and 150 people banquet style. Other amenities include valet parking, coat check, DJ equipment and sound system. If you’re looking for a restaurant to impress your colleagues, Brassaii at 461 King St. W., 416-598-4730 should do the trick. The King and Spadina restaurant has played host to many premium events including TIFF parties. Smaller parties can choose the study, which seats up to 22 people while the library holds up to 88 people. The dining room, which seats 120 people comfortably, can be booked for holiday parties.
The new culinary addition to the TIFF Bell Lightbox by Oliver & Bonacini, Luma, offers a private dining space for a maximum of 12 people with prix fixe dinner menus for $57, $70 and $87 per person. The $57 menu includes organic green salad or soup of the day, yellow fin tuna or striploin steak and lemon tart or opera cake. The $70 menu includes Caesar salad or scallop sashimi, free range chicken or arctic char or lamb sirloin and lime and buttermilk pana cotta. The $87 menu includes organic green salad or burrata or tuna tartare, ricotta gnudi or sea scallops or beef tenderloin and lime and buttermilk pana cotta or chocolate delice. Lunch prix fixe menus are offered for $44, $57 or $63 per person plus tax and 15% gratuities.
The Keg Mansion at 515 Jarvis St., 416-964-6609, has been hosting holiday and Christmas parties for years and there’s a reason why. The Keg Mansion becomes beautifully decked out for the season with garlands, wreaths, lights and a lit Christmas tree, which make it one of the best restaurants for Christmas parties in Toronto. Choose from the large party menu that includes salad and top sirloin or grilled salmon or Teriyaki chicken or prime rib and cheesecake or mocha ice cream pie or Kahlua and Grand Marnier with whipped cream for $33.95 per person. The special party menu for $41.95 per person includes 1) mixed greens or Caesar salad and 2) prime rib or filet mignon or New York striploin or grilled top sirloin and 3) lobster tail or King crab or Tiger shrimp or shrimp and scallops and 4) cheesecake or mocha ice cream pie for dessert. Private rooms are available for 20-40 people while the restaurant can accommodate groups of up to 100 on the main floor. The Keg Mansion is open at 11:30 a.m. (as are many other Keg locations) from Dec. 1-23 for holiday lunches.
The exclusive Thompson Toronto’s fine dining restaurant Scarpetta at 550 Wellington St. W., 416-640-7778, is open for dinner for your Christmas and holiday parties. Scarpetta’s private dining room seats up to 20 and offers four prix fixe menu options starting at $65 (plus taxes and gratuities). The $65 menu option includes braised short ribs of beef, creamy polenta and autumn vegetable salad all served family style, an entree of spaghetti or quinoa and Rock shrimp branzino or roasted organic chicken and chocolate cake and coconut panna cotta served family style.
The new Mark McEwan restaurant at the swanky Hazelton Hotel, One can accommodate up to 16 people in its Canadian icon, Neil Young Room and up to 70 guests in the Yorkville Room. When it comes to haute cuisine, you can’t go wrong by taking the office Christmas party to LEE, the inspiration of renowned chef Susur Lee. LEE’s main dining room can accommodate up to 20 people. Alternatively, you can rent the private room, which seats up to 24, for $200. One or both sides of the restaurant can be rented for private parties of 45 to 130 people. Group sharing style menus start at $65 person and offer selections such as Asian salmon ceviche, Singaporean slaw, chickpea fritter, garlic shrimp, asparagus, haricots and fennel salad, carmelized black cod, Szechwan pork ribs and jerk chicken.
