Fall Home Show at Toronto's Exhibition Place

Fall brings with it the desire for new beginnings. If you’re not heading back to school or taking general interest courses, why not channel your energy into restyling or renovating your home. You’ll receive a wealth of information at the Fall Home Show at the Better Living Centre at Exhibition Place from Sept. 20-23, 2012.

Special guest speakers appearing on the HGTV Main Stage include the Property Brothers; Citytv’s Breakfast Television’s Frank Ferragine; Colin and Justin, hosts of HGTV’s Home Heist; Robin Lewis, host of HGTV’s Reno vs. Relocate and Glen Peloso, host of Restaurant Makeover, Take This House and Sell It and Renovate My Wardrobe and many others.

If you’re thinking about renovating your home, be sure to drop by Destination Renovation by BILD at Booth #720 where you can book a one-on-one appointment with renovators or builders to discuss your renovation needs. Interior designers, stylists and contractors including Glen Peloso, Lisa Canning, Jackie Glass and Jim Caruk will also be on hand to offer free design advice at What’s Your Design Dilemna? Some of the exhibitors at the show include Alta Moda Furniture, HiddenBed Canada, DRC Upholstery, Umbra Store, Royal Classic Kitchen, Save On Spas, Exterior By Design Stucco & Stone, Persian Rugs Inc., Sleep Country Canada, Cranberry Waterfront Suites and Country Club and Carriage Hills Resort.

If you’re shopping for furniture, the Home & Style Studio Tour and Sale offers large discounts on a variety of home furniture. Proceeds go towards the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation.

The Habitat for Humanity Ultimate Upcycle Challenge involves celebrity experts including Lisa Canning, Leigh-Ann Allaire Perrault, Vicky Sanderson, Sarah Gunn, Mag Ruffman, Claire Kumar and others who will repurpose an item from Habitat for Humanity. Vote for the best item at the Habitat Toronto exhibit area and if you really love the item, you can bid on it in the online auction at Habitat for Humanity Canada.

Fall Home Show hours are Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets are Adults (18+) $12, Seniors (65+) $10 and Students (13-17) $10 if purchased online. Door admission is an extra $3.
