Genuine Health Fermented Vegan Proteins+ comes in two flavours: Natural Vanilla and Natural Chocolate. They also come in Fermented Vegan Proteins+ bars including Dark Chocolate Almond, Double Chocolate Chip, Lemon Coconut and Peanut Butter Chocolate. I was curious to try the Fermented Vegan Proteins+ in a smoothie bowl, which I have started having for breakfast.
Blueberry Avocado Smoothie Bowl with Genuine Health Fermented Vegan Proteins+
1 cup of almond milk
1 cup blueberries
1 avocado, peeled
1 scoop of Genuine Health Fermented Vegan Proteins+ in Natural Chocolate
ice cubes (optional)
Topping: banana slices, blueberries
In blender, combine almond milk, blueberries, avocado, honey, Genuine Health Fermented Vegan Proteins+ and ice cubes. Blend on low to high setting until smooth. Pour into bowl and top with banana slices and blueberries.
Genuine Health Fermented Vegan Proteins+ are not just great for breakfast smoothies. They can also be added to your favourite recipes. We’ve included a recipe for Lemon Poppy Seed Bites below.
Lemon Poppy Seed Bites
1 scoop fermented vegan proteins+ vanilla
1/2 tsp poppy seeds
1 lemon squeezed, and zest grated
2 tbsp ground flax seed
1/2 cup coconut flour
1/4 cup ground almonds
1/4 cup ground pumpkin seeds
2 tbsp maple syrup
6 tbsp unsweetened vanilla almond milk
Coating: 1/4 cup coconut flakes and 2 tbsp poppy seeds
- Place almonds and pumpkin seeds in food processor and pulse until coarsely ground. Place in separate bowl off to the side.
- Add coconut flour, flax seed, fermented vegan proteins+ and lemon zest to food processor and pulse quickly to thoroughly mix ingredients. Add maple syrup, lemon juice, almond butter and almond milk to food processor. Pulse until doughy texture is achieved.
- Mix in ground almonds, ground pumpkin seeds, and poppy seeds by hand and roll into bite size portions.
- In separate bowl combine coconut and poppy seeds. Roll each bite in mixture to coat as desired.
Makes approximately 1 dozen. They freeze well and taste great when thawed.
