March Break is March 11-15, 2019 this year and it’s time to sign your child up for March Break Camp. March Break Camps give kids an opportunity to develop skills outside of the classroom. March Break camps in Toronto 2019 are filling up quickly, but there are spots left in the camps listed below as of publication date of this blog post. Students in the March Break Drama Camp at Young People’s Theatre spend a week travelling through their imaginations, collaboratively creating their own theatrical piece while making new friends and having a lot of fun on the journey! This program is available at both Downtown and North York locations for students in JK through Grade 6. There will be a half day camp for JK and SK and a full day camp for Grades 1-6. On Tuesday, March 12 students will attend an 11 a.m. performance of The 26 Letter Dance as part of their camp experience. Register online.
One of the most popular March Break Camps in Toronto 2019 is at the Ontario Science Centre. Campers will enjoy hands-on, interactive discovery at the Ontario Science Centre’s March Break Day Camp from March 11-15, 2019. Kids can build a giant geodesic dome, make their own paper and get blown away by the science of bubbles. Kids will learn to choose the right tools and materials for these creative challenges before taking the loop-the-loop of roller coaster physics!
Counsellors are responsible and caring individuals with experience working with children in an educational and/or recreational environment and have valid Vulnerable Sector Screening Checks, as well as First Aid and CPR certifications.
March Break Day Camp runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Supervised extended care from 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. and from 4:15 p.m. to 6 p.m., with games, educational videos and quiet activities, is available. A hot lunch is available for $12 per day. Campers must be 5 to 12 years old while at Camp. For 5 year old campers, proof of age must be provided. Cost is $345 (Non-Member) and $320 (OSC Member). Campers will explore the nature of High Park through hikes, games and crafts. Activities will be different each day! Campers must be 6-10 years of age. Sign up for any or all sessions from Monday, March 11, 2019 to Friday, March 15, 2019. Each session is from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Supervised extended care is available from 8:30 a.m. – 9 a.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. for $10 per day.
Geared towards kids ages 5-15, the Circus Camp encourages your kids to keep active during March Break. Kids can spin, jump, tumble and soar at this Toronto circus camp. TSCA’s camp program is open to kids five years and older at varied levels of ability. Students will learn acrobatics, hoop, silks, flying trapeze and more in a non-competitive environment. Camp instructors are professional coaches/performers with several years of coaching and performance experience. March Break Camp is Aerial & Ground for ages 5-15. Camp hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $310 plus HST.
If your child is a budding rock star, sign them up for the Ultimate Beginner Camp at Neighbour Note from March 11-15, 2019. All participants will be formed into bands of 3 to 5 members and no musical experience is necessary. Each band will work together to write songs, create band names and logos, and learn to play some beginner rock tunes! All band members will receive introductory tutorials on guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, and vocals. Bands will perform in a Rock Showcase for the final day of camp. Camp hours are 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Cost is $275 for half day and $375 for full day per participant. Early drop-off and late pick-up can be arranged.
